Finnish sweet tooths have been familiar with the sweetest treats and humorous characters of the legendary BonBon candies since 1985. Manufactured under licence by our client Alfmix Oy, the sweets series has been developed further over the decades and most of us probably have our own favourite sweets and characters.
Launching a new product
In spring 2023, it was time for new lollipops developed according to consumer wishes, and Alfmix launched its new, shiny RockMix lollipop box and its new rocking animal characters. The aim was to create a campaign that would serve as a launch pad for the RockMix lollipop success story.
We went from concept to action. We ended up with a campaign structure that had already performed well in previous campaigns, using channels that worked well for our target audience: Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. BonBon has a loyal and active follower community, but one that is keen on humour and story continuity – not forgetting their favourite sweets!
Effective campaign materials – from idea to implementation
The Myy team was excited to create a fast-paced, humorous video that would appeal to the target audience and fit the chosen channels. In addition to the creative idea and the video itself, the vendors also created the background music and animation. The campaign was also supported by appealing copy texts and still images, created with solid BonBon experience, as well as an attractive competition for the bonbon.fi website.
The RockMix lollipop launch campaign was a success! The campaign materials received over 11.1 million impressions, and over 1.2 million people were reached on social media channels. The most positive achievement, however, was the emergence of Alfmix lollipops as the market leader in the late spring and summer of 2023. It was a great pleasure and honour to be part of this tangible result!
